Construction Materials
Reliable transports of construction materials: stones, tiles, insulation, windows and prefabricated parts across Europe.
Benefits of Direct Transport
- No transshipment - your goods stay on the same vehicle
- Faster delivery via direct haul without intermediate stops
- Lower risk of damage
- Real-time GPS tracking
- Dedicated driver for your shipment
Typical building-material shipments in direct transport
Building-material transports are almost always full truckloads: palletised bricks and paving stones, breakage-sensitive tiles and porcelain stoneware, bulky insulation materials, windows and doors on transport racks, drywall boards and prefabricated building elements. What is characteristic is that either the vehicle's payload or its load volume is fully used up – and that the goods often go not to a warehouse but directly to a construction site, where a trade is waiting for the material.
Requirements for building-material transports
- Load distribution and weight: heavy pallets must be distributed properly across the loading area
- Site logistics: access, unloading equipment and an on-site contact must be clarified in advance
- Deadline commitment: construction schedules clock the trades – late material stops the crew
- Breakage protection: tiles, glass and ceramic goods do not tolerate repeated handling
- Weather protection for moisture-sensitive materials such as plaster and insulation products
The benefit of the exclusive full truckload
For building materials, every transhipment is a breakage and time risk – with direct transport there is none. Your goods are loaded once at the manufacturer or dealer and moved again only at the destination – in between there is no terminal, no restacking, no third-party part load. The site management sees by GPS when the vehicle will arrive and can have unloading equipment and staff ready to the point. The fixed price is set in advance and can be cleanly transferred into the project costing.
From enquiry to construction site
Tell us the material, weight, loading and unloading point and the target date – we clarify the access situation and unloading with the recipient in advance and confirm a binding schedule. This applies to recurring plant traffic between building-material works and retail sites as well as to a one-off project delivery right across Europe. We also dispatch short-notice replenishment runs quickly and reliably when material is missing on site.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver building materials directly to the construction site?
Yes, provided the access is suitable for an articulated lorry. We clarify with you and the recipient in advance how unloading takes place – for example by crane or forklift on site – and who is available as a contact. That way the vehicle does not stand idle and the material reaches the waiting trade on time.
How heavy may a building-material load be?
The decisive factor is the permitted payload of the articulated lorry used, as well as proper load distribution across the loading area. Tell us the pallet weights and dimensions with the enquiry – we check the loading in advance and plan the right vehicle so that there are no surprises at weighbridges and controls.
Are short-notice replenishment runs for construction sites possible?
Yes. If material is missing and the stoppage of a trade threatens, we dispatch an exclusive vehicle at short notice – including in the evening or at weekends, as our dispatch team is reachable around the clock. Via GPS, the site management can see at any time when the load will arrive and can clock the construction process accordingly.
