City-to-City Routes
Warsaw: Poland's economic centre and gateway to north-eastern Europe
Warsaw is Poland's largest consumption and distribution area and one of the most dynamic economic regions in Central Europe. Alongside administration and services, trade, e-commerce and light industry have been growing strongly for years; extensive logistics parks have sprung up in the capital's outskirts, from which large parts of the Polish market are supplied. At the same time, Warsaw is the starting point of the Via Baltica: anyone supplying Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia can hardly bypass the capital region.
Typical use cases for direct transport
- Central-warehouse and distribution replenishment for retail and e-commerce in the wider Warsaw area
- Automotive and electronics supplies between German and Polish plants
- Machinery and equipment for construction and infrastructure projects
- Onward traffic towards the Baltic states via the Via Baltica
- Urgent procurement runs when delivery deadlines in production are pressing
Connection and traffic situation
The A2 motorway connects Berlin via Poznań directly with Warsaw – one of Europe's highest-capacity east-west axes, subject to toll via the Polish e-TOLL system. There are no border controls within the Schengen area; the vehicle passes Frankfurt (Oder) without stopping. Within the city itself, rush-hour traffic on the Warsaw ring road must be factored in; we therefore prefer to place loading-dock appointments outside peak times.
Handling and transit times on the Germany–Warsaw axis
At around 570 kilometres from Berlin and seven to eight hours of pure driving time, Warsaw is one of the destinations reachable the same day with early loading – a genuine direct advantage over groupage chains with multi-day transit times. You receive a fixed price in advance including German and Polish tolls, follow the journey by GPS and reach our team around the clock. For onward runs to the Baltic states we dispatch the same lorry throughout, so that your goods are never transhipped even on long routes.
Frequently asked questions
Is same-day delivery from Berlin to Warsaw possible?
Yes, with early loading it is realistic: the route via the A2 is around 570 kilometres with seven to eight hours of pure driving time. If loading takes place in the morning, delivery can be made in the evening, provided the recipient accepts. We agree the binding schedule with you when the order is placed.
Do I need customs documents for transports to Poland?
No. Poland is an EU member and part of the Schengen area; there is neither customs clearance nor border controls. Only the usual freight documents such as the CMR consignment note are required. Our dispatch team takes care of the Polish road toll via the e-TOLL system – it is already included in the fixed price.
Do you also drive on from Warsaw into the Baltic states?
Yes. Warsaw is the starting point of the Via Baltica towards Kaunas, Riga and Tallinn. With direct transport your goods stay on the same vehicle throughout – from the consignor in Germany or Poland to the recipient in the Baltic states, without transhipment, with GPS tracking over the entire route.
